Friday Night Mayhem (12/26/08): Holiday Fallout
LIEUTENANT
1. trickshot v. Essa Rios (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Trickshot
Notes: The loser of the Lieutenant Championship match at Blood Runs Cold will face Essa Rios tonight in a ladder match.
2. Non-Title Match
Eric The Torture v. Kahlan (Eric's choice-docs)
Winner: Kahlan
Notes: Eric became the new Lieutenant X-Force Champion on Monday when he defeated Destroyer, but the match was marred with luck and deception. Kahlan came out after the match and challenged Eric to this match, and I don't see any reason to let Eric rest this week. What's the match gonna be, chump?
3. Hardcore Match
Destroyer v. The Ultimate Kid (Single-1-1-1)
Winner: The Ultimate Kid
Notes: The Ultimate Kid is furious over the fact that Kahlan and her tag team partner, Destroyer, are the new Bronze Tag Team Champions because he had wanted to team with Kahlan before Destroyer. Tonight, he will get to vent his frustrations on Destroyer himself after the two agreed to this match.
4. Lieutenant Championship Match
Tito Ortiz (c) v. Martin Prince (Single-docs)
Winner and STILL Lieutenant Champion: Tito Ortiz
Notes: The winner of Martin Prince/Rock II will take on the Lieutenant Champion tonight in the first Title match of The Champions Tournament. Is the Title going to change hands quickly?
CAPTAIN
1. ForSakeN v. Malcriado Beast (LMS-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN
Notes: ForSakeN fell short on Sunday in his attempt to win Captain gold. Now he must start all over as he faces Malcriado Beast in a LMS match. MB doesn't have much time left in the Captain Division before promotion, so this could be the last FSN sees of him for a while.
2. Non-Title Match
Samoa Machine v. Lunchtime Legend (Table-docs)
Winner: Samoa Machine
Notes: Samoa Machine prevailed in defending his Captain Title at BRC against ForSakeN in a Hell in a Cell, and now he faces former Captain X-Force Champion Lunchtime Legend in a table match. Double L is foaming at the mouth for some new gold, and it may just be Samoa Machine's.
COLONEL
1. Loser of Dyna Mike Duncan/Sergei Kravinoff v. Euroman (Cage-docs)
Cancelled
Notes: The loser of the helacious Champ v. Champ match at Blood Runs Cold will get back inside a steel cage and fight Euroman tonight on Mayhem. Once a cage fighter, always a cage fighter.
2. Non-Title Match
Dyna Mike Duncan/Sergei Kravinoff v. RJ Wild (Ladder-docs)
Cancelled
Notes: RJ Wild doesn't get to rest much this week as he takes on the Champ v. Champ winner from Blood Runs Cold tonight. Ladders will be legal, and so will everything you can imagine doing with them.
GENERAL
1. Last Laugh Tournament
Gnarfflinger v. Psycho Savage (LMS-docs)
Winner: Psycho Savage
Notes: Psycho Savage and Gnarfflinger will duke it out in a LMS match tonight in Last Laugh Round 1 action. PS and Gnarff are both in need of a big victory if either wants to get to the top of an aggressive and feisty division.
2. Last Laugh Tournament
Backyard Brawler 2 v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Single-docs)
Winner: Backyard Brawler 2
Notes: Backyard Brawler showed that he could hang with his new combatant in the General Division when he put up a good fight at the end of the Survival of the Fittest Tournament last month. Now that he's had a taste of his new territory, now he needs to dominate it. His first Last Laugh opponent is CHARISMATIC HARDY.
3. Last Laugh Tournament
frog man v. StrikerLT (Ladder-docs)
Winner: frog man
Notes: Riiibit! frog man will try to reclaim his hold on the General Division when he takes on StrikerLT in a round 1 Last Laugh Tournament match. Striker could also use the win as it seems he may be ready to hang up the boots and go back to the Hardcore Division. Ladders, anyone?
4. Last Laugh Tournament
Pennylane v. Black Dead (Single-docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: Pennylane gets a tough opponent in either Black Dead or Genesis 1 tonight when he begins Last Laugh action. I can guarantee you one thing this month, and that is that Penny will be chuckling if I have anything to say about it.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Guerreros de la Calle v. Dark Bulldogs (docs)
Winner: Guerreros de la Calle by default
Notes: Guerreros de la Calle are the newest latino duo to hit GHW and they are craving oro. They will make their debut tonight against Dark Bulldogs, who are undefeated. Tell me this won't be an interesting match.
2. Elitist Club v. Lost Cause (docs)
Winner: Elitist Club
Notes: The loser of the Gold Tag Team Championship match from Blood Runs Cold will take on a team that feels that they deserve to be the Champs, Lost Cause. I don't agree with Lost Cause, and they will see the light tonight when they're defeated.
3. Non-Title Match
Havoc v. Bulldog Savages (docs)
No Contest
Notes: The Gold Tag Team Champions will face incredibly tough competition tonight when they take on the Bulldog Savages. Starting next week there will be a mini-Tournament to find the next #1 contender, and Bulldog Savages will be right up there.
