I have a serious issue to discuss with ALL members of the GHW RP side. In recent months, activity has SEVERELY declined. To be honest, it hardly seems like many guys are even interested anymore.
So, let's talk about this. Is there any reason(s) as to why this is happening. If so, please feel free to discuss them here and offer ANY suggestions as to how we can increase interest around here and bring our RP side back to the dominance we all know it to be capable of.

Well I'm trying my best to fit in RP's although I am struggling with grades in school and if you class mysef as inactive, it is the reason why.
As for improvements, ... erm, ... I think we should have more large scale storylines as many people find it hard to keep up with a feud. I'm not exacty sure but I personally feel we need more people to build up feuds. I don't very often do it myself but I beleive we should reward promo's and feuds. Mention storylines in a weekly newsletter or magazine. Just a basis to let everyone know what's happening.
Again, I'm not exactly sure if they're the best thing but just a few ideas.

I do like the idea of the weekly newsletter and hell I'd even be willing to do it, but that's beside the point.
I for one know that RP's can be hard and with the oftenness of them you can constantly find yourself running out of ideas or just stuck in trying to think up something, not to mention that it's extremely time constraining. I thinks that's one of the many reasons why it has declined. Also, as Desperado mentioned, school is another good reason.
The only suggestion I could give is that people need to make more of an effort (myself included). Maybe if we somehow reward them with an incentive to build feuds and work on matches other then title opportunities and rankings in the Power 10. That's all I've got, maybe other people can develop on this idea.

I had a spark of genius I think that could boost both RP and VOW, if people will bear with my explanation.
See, I play every Tony Hawk game there is, and one of the things in the games I find amazing is the "Sponsor" system. Like the better you do, the better your sponsor, hope I haven't side tracked people too much.
But my idea is the same basically, we set up a Sponsor set, like Gear and stuff. Say Vlad, with his OMFG Streak and past could be sponsored by a huge company they boost his stock as well as him boosting his.
Sponsor Ideas: Nike - Makes Wrestling Shoes And Shorts Yamaha - Dave Carter himself pulls this idea, get sponsored and get a personalizes bike sold and one goes in your own garage. Fender - Lots of music oriented guys, have a personalized guitar skin and sponsorship by their recording label as well. Converse - My personal favorite shoe brand and Converse Chuck Taylor's are legal wrestling shoes.
Just some ideas, if taken to heart and wanted I could set it up, have like a monetary level contract for people and that could be used to build feuds and push them as well.
Example: Fighty fighty person A: "You Suck" Fighty fighty person B: "Then why do I have a $250,000 sponsorship from Nike? Plus, who sponsors you? Wal-Mart at $25,000? So.... Who suck?"
Just a generic example but could also push someone like Desperado well because a lot of companies are big on Rising Stars. MVP pulls the "Highest Paying Contract" card, why not have someone given a Sponsor that's for a crazy amount(if earned) and they pull the "Highest Sponsorship" card on everyone.
I think it adds incentive and fun to it due to it also gives a multitude of Promo ideas and all for doing Commercials and Events for their Sponsors.
Say Dave Carter gets sponsored by Yamaha, he could to a promo that's a Yamaha Commercial and say he's feuding with Desperado for the Title (Just bear with me here) he could also pull a great deal of smack talk like:
Dave: "Yamaha Motorcycles are a true ride for any Champion. Who would you rather be? Dave Carter, a Champion on top of a signature Yamaha YZF-R1 or like Desperado, whining about what could have been on whatever crappy, unreliable bike he might own."
Just some ideas and flare to it, there are vast opportunities with this idea and I believe that it could work out VERY well. Plus GMs could pull parts where Matches could have a stipulation for a certain monetary sponsorship as the reward.
Feedback?

Yeah, like you ever catch me saying that crappy line You still need to learn a lot, Scotty, before you can run a char like Dave "The Lightning" Carter But to be serious, I like the idea. For one it's original. Magazine is a decent idea too, but you can see it a lot of feuds. Unless it would be something very different from other fed magazines, there isn't much of a boost from it. At the same time I want to apologize again for my own inactivity, I'm kinda having tough time and I can't really RP actively. Yet, your, Vlad, and other's recent promos inspired me and I decided to try and RP as much as promos and other stuff as much I can. In fact, currently I am in development stages of a feud/storyline/hyping or whatever else you call it and I will try to think of a ways I can help or just try to help GHW with RPing and other stuff

I say...Magazines...Sounds nice but won't work. I see the power 10 and such as a magazine. My promo 'Twilight' has been mentioned in it this week, and mysef being 'fired' seems to go around well too...I thinl that's enough reward for me. Next to that, we are already short on jobs for GHW...I am even struggling with one to help...
But this sponsorship...Next to every pro which was larady stated, it could add, or even replace the money system (Much easier payout, less work for the accountant)
If there could a great deal of brands and sponsors, there is diversity, there would be opportunities, and that would certainly add to the lvl of RP...
I'm empty on thoughts now, tired even. THIS is my inactivity thing, being tired..and school... although I must say I check the site for at least 2 times a day...I'll think about this some more.

I have noticed the drop in activity as well and i like scottys idea. Here is the thing though on the magazine what would be included in the magazine. The reason I have not fueded or started fueds is I have become busy and of course I had internet problems. I have plans on pushing myself so that I am in the spot light. I see where school can cause troubles and make things hard. But the main issue we suffer from is those who RP not many start fueds or hype a match. There are those who always hype or start a fued and then there are Fighty fighty persons for one reason or another never start a fued.
A risk v reward system could be nice Vlad would know about this one as I told him about something I seen in Japan that could be incorporated into our shows. Rurouni is going to be preparing for the spot light here so anyone who wants to join sickle club anonymous step right up. BUt back to a more serious note I do like Scottys idea it has some merit and should be looked into. Though I guess its a good thing we have a glass ceiling or rank members based on there skill LOL

Ok guys well just as an ex RP member and a soon to be current RP membet I hope is that I found that for me things came up in RL that I just had to deal with, I have no idea why there is a disinterest in the RP side of things I have always loved building up my matches with RPs even when just wrestling on the VOW side of things. And really I have no idea what is going on, but when I was involved I alweays found that the thing that seemed to kill Rp's was that people had RL stuff come up. Of course I only ever had storylines running with Fighty fighty persons who were always around because I avoided building feuds against people who were in and out. I think the big thing to make the RP side appear big again is to build big feuds between the big guys on the shows and this makes the new guys realise that if they want to get more involved they need to RP and build feuds. I found that it was a matter of your interaction that decided if you made it in the big matches and I think that this is a thing that needs to be stuck too...if you don't participate then you don't get the big matches that simple, the only way to get a title shot is to have a good RP build up to it. And PS as a side I hope to be back very soon to entertain you and I am thinking I will head to Decimation as someone decimated their ranks. So I am aiming to build a feud on there and will be joining you soon...

I hate to suggest this, but maybe we should do what that one other fed is doing and like.. send messages to other smaller feds' members. Ik it sounds bad, but if one big fed survives I think its okay if a few little ones die.

I have very few ideas on this topic, but to leech onto smaller feds that last no more than a weekend and steal members blatantly is not really our style.
The only real time we've promoted GHW in other feds were when the General Managers/Owners were already members -and some staff- here.
I'm gonna think on this some more, there has to be something.
