Friday Night Mayhem (1/30/09): Taking it to the X-Treme
HARDCORE
1. Future Talent Match
Huck Wade v. Michael Marek (Table-docs)
Winner: Huck Wade
Notes: Huck Wade and Michael Marek will make their debuts in GHW tonight in a table match. Huck previously had a stint in GHW, but disappeared after he suffered an undisclosed injury. Will Huck be fighting at a higher level this time around?
LIEUTENANT
1. Extreme Ladder Tournament
Allanon v. Martin Prince (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: Allanon gets the opportunity to show his worth to the X-Forces tonight as he takes on the outspoken Martin Prince in the Extreme Ladder Tournament. Taking Martin out of this Tournament will mean a lot to the Xantaxm and his objectives this month.
2. Extreme Ladder Tournament
Rock II v. trickshot (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: Rock II
Notes: Rock II and trickshot clash in the final first round Extreme Ladder Tournament match in the Lieutenant Division. Both know their ways with ladders, so it will be a toss up as to who escapes with the victory.
3. Non-Title Match
The Master v. Destroyer (Table-docs)
Winner: The Master
Notes: The Master may be the Lieutenant Champion, but he's going to have a lot of Superstars gunning for him this month. Destroyer, a former Lieutenant X-Force Champion, is one of those top contenders as he's eager to be the best.
CAPTAIN
1. Pick Your Poison Tournament
ForSakeN v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN
Notes: ForSakeN and Lunchtime Legend will have a classic singles match in their first round Pick Your Poison Tournament match. After this round, things will be in the hands of those that made it to the second round, so it's important that they choose their poison intelligently.
2. Non-Title Match
Marcus Airbourne v. Eric The Torture (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Marcus Airbourne
Notes: Marcus Airbourne has one objective tonight and that is to embarrass Eric the Torture for me...and smash him around with some ladders. Eric pawned off my Lieutenant X-Force Championship after Winter Fury, and he is going to suffer for that poor decision.
COLONEL
1. Extreme Ladder Tournament
Sergei Kravinoff v. HawkEye (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: HawkEye
Notes: Sergei gets an easy first round opponent in the Extreme Ladder Tournament when he takes on the washed up and old Hawkeye. My only concern is if Hawkeye is ever able to wrestle again after this drubbing...wait, I really don't care if he can.
2. Extreme Ladder Tournament
The Unabomber v. Matthew Oliveira (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: The Unabomber
Notes: Matthew Oliveira has faced pretty much everyone in GHW once or twice...and lost those matches...but tonight he takes on a new Superstar, The Unabomber. Can the Hardcore Genius handle the Extreme Ladder Tournament?
3. Non-Title Match
The Impacter v. War Child (Single-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: The Impacter is the new Colonel Champion after defeating Sergei Kravinoff at Winter Fury. It was a big victory, but it has not cemented him as one of the best just yet. War Child will test him tonight, and then a new contender will emerge by the end of the month to try to take his Title.
4. Colonel X-Force Championship
Dyna Mike Duncan (c) v. I Always Lose (Single-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: Dyna Mike Duncan is on the verge of a promotion, but before he enters the General Division, he will have one last match for his Colonel X-Force Championship. He and I have hand-selected Luther to be the beneficiary of the Colonel X-Force Title if I Always Lose is victorious in this match. If Mike wins though, the Title will go vacant.
GENERAL
1. Death Sentence Tournament
Slim Shady v. Falling Angel (LMS-no staff)
Winner: Slim Shady by default
Notes: Slim Shady and Falling Angel will face their Death Sentence tonight, and only one will survive. Falling Angel is dying to make a big impression, but she has yet to be able to do that. I still have confidence that she will. Slim, on the other hand, has been there and done that, but he's never had to fight a LMS match with no doctors around.
2. Death Sentence Tournament
Psycho Savage v. Pennylane (LMS-no staff)
Winner: Pennylane by no-show
Notes: Psycho Savage is the new Mr. Money in the Bank and I couldn't be happier for the loyal X-Force member. Tonight he faces Pennylane in the Death Sentence Tournament, but there are rumors that he may have been caught in some bad weather after Winter Fury and may not show up. I've got my fingers crossed that he does and gives worthy opponent, Pennylane, a challenge.
3. Death Sentence Tournament
Dyna Mike Duncan v. Big Closet (LMS-no staff)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: Dyna Mike Duncan has a busy night indeed, but if there ever was a Superstar able to fight two huge matches on the same card, it's DMD. After his Title defense earlier, he will have to take on Big Closet in the Death Sentence Tournament.
4. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. y2000j (Table-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy by no-show
Notes: Big Daddy is starting to build his General Division legacy, and so far so good with another Title defense at Winter Fury. Tonight he takes on y2000j in a table match to keep him busy and in shape.
TAG TEAM
1. 3-on-3 Tag Match
One Machine and Essa Rios v. Demolition (Genocide/The Ultimate Kid/Huck Wade) (docs)
Winner: One Machine and Essa Rios
Notes: This match has been brewing for about a week now, but we finally get to see these two rivals go at it in a 3-on-3 tag match. Replacing the early retired Goldberg on Demolition will be Huck Wade, who fought earlier tonight. Talk is over, now it's time to send a physical message.
2. Non-Title Match
Havoc v. ReVamped (docs)
Winner: Havoc
Notes: Havoc looked like they didn't miss a beat at Winter Fury when they defeated the undefeated Catastrophic Duo to retain their Gold Tag Team Titles. Tonight the Champs face ReVamped.
3. Catastrophic Duo v. Guerreros de la Calle (docs)
Winner: Catastrophic Duo
Notes: Catastrophic Duo collapsed when the Titles were on the line on Sunday, and they're probably trying to still figure out what went wrong. They might want to vent their frustrations on Guerreros de la Calle, and then come up with a new plan on how to defeat the Champs should they get another Title shot this month.
HARDCORE

Huck Wade v. Michael Marek (Table-docs)
