Monday Night Combat (1/19/09): The Fury of X
LIEUTENANT
1. Non-Title Match
Destroyer v. Rock II (Table-docs)
Winner: Rock II
Notes: Destroyer was unfairly distracted last week by Eric The Torture when he faced YOUNG GANGSTA, and I'm currently in the midst of figuring out some revenge. In the meantime, the Lieutenant X-Force Champion will take on Rock II in a table match.
2. Handicap Match
Essa Rios v. Demolition (docs)
Winner: Essa Rios
Notes: Essa Rios is looking to get the bounty that is on Genocide's head by Dyna Mike Duncan, and has requested to face Genocide's new tag team in a handicap match tonight. I granted the match, and I pray Essa knows what he's getting himself into. This just may be a sad debut for Demolition.
3. The Champions Tournament
Allanon v. Martin Prince (Cage-docs)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: Allanon may not have had a successful debut last week on Mayhem, but I'm certain he'll get his first win tonight. He faces Martin Prince in a cage match and the winner will face The Master on Friday in the last Lieutenant Title match of the month. That is, unless one of these two Superstars defeat him. Martin is getting a second shot in The Champions Tournament, and I only did that because I know he won't get the job done.
CAPTAIN
1. Non-Title Match
Samoa Machine v. Marcus Airbourne (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Samoa Machine
Notes: Samoa Machine went down to Marcus Airbourne the last time they faced off, but tonight he vows for revenge. I had a little talk with Samoa and we'll see if he can back up his words. These two X-Force members will put on a hell of a show if nothing else.
2. Escaping the Gauntlet
Torjio Kazukuni v. Lunchtime Legend (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Torjio Kazukuni
Notes: In the final Escaping the Gauntlet match in the Captain Division, newcomer Torjio Kazukuni will take on Lunchtime Legend in a ladder match. Inside that suitcase about the ring is a Captain Title shot against Samoa Machine at Winter Fury. Will Double L take advantage of his lucky entrance into the Gauntlet, or will Torjio continue off his impressive debut in GHW?
COLONEL
1. Sergei Kravinoff v. Euroman (Cage-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff
Notes: Sergei lost his Colonel X-Force Title at Blood Runs Cold, and has stayed relatively quiet the past month. Tonight he faces Euroman inside a steel cage, and he needs to get back to his old ways if he's going to rule the Colonel Division again. I have faith.
2. Non-Title Match
Dyna Mike Duncan v. War Child (Single-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: My friend Dyna Mike Duncan has been insulted recently by a couple of punks, but DMD has stayed calm and collected. That is what makes a great Champion. Now, he has put a bounty on one, and has found a hitman for the other, so he can focus on his wrestling again. Tonight, he takes on War Child and will put on a clinic as he did earlier in the month against him. Then, at Winter Fury, he will defend his Title due to the uneducated fans in the Interactive Polls, and he will remain the Colonel X-Force Champion.
3. Escaping the Gauntlet
The Impacter v. Matthew Oliveira (Table-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: Matthew Oliveira enters the Colonel Gauntlet and takes on either Luther or The Impacter. The winner of this match will move on to Winter Fury where he will fight for the vacant Colonel Championship against the last entrant into the Gauntlet.
GENERAL
1. Pennylane v. I Always Lose (LMS-docs)
No Contest
Notes: Pennylane has made it into the Money in the Bank Rumble at Winter Fury, and he can thank all of the fans who voted in the GHW Interactive Polls. Being so, he doesn't need to qualify in a match tonight, and he can relax....well, he does have a LMS match against IAL, but after that he can relax.
2. Non-Title Match
Genesis 1 v. frog man (Ladder-docs)
Winner: frog man
Notes: Genesis will extract frog man from a pond tonight and squash him with a ladder. Then, the General X-Force Champion will go and get some green gatorade and remember fond times watching Kermit the Frog on TV.
3. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Table-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy
Notes: Big Daddy is a fine General Champion and hopes to remain one after this Sunday. He will take on a fellow X-Force member, but whether it's Angelus or Psycho Savage is yet to be decided. Tonight, he will get a warm-up when he faces CHARISMATIC HARDY in a tables match.
4. Money in the Bank Qualifier
Black Dead v. Muhammad Hassan (Cage-docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: Black Dead and Jake Steele will get one last chance to make it to Winter Fury this month, as one of the two will qualify for the Money in the Bank Rumble. Black Dead is no stranger to Money in the Bank Rumbles, as he is a past winner. However, he is the first Mr. MITB to lose when he cashed in the briefcase. Can BD make up for his failed attempt by winning another MITB Rumble, or is he ready to retire?
5. Last Laugh Tournament Finale
Angelus v. Psycho Savage (LMS-docs)
Winner: Angelus
Notes: I couldn't be happier with the Finale in the Last Laugh Tournament as I predicted it last week. Two of my finest X-Force members will have a fair and square LMS match, and the winner will go on to face Big Daddy for the General Championship at Winter Fury. But, because I'm so very proud of these two Superstars and their alignment with me, the loser will not go home empty-handed. The loser will automatically qualify for the Money in the Bank Rumble. It's good to be an X-Force member, isn't it?
TAG TEAM
1. #1 Contender Match
One Machine v. Demolition (docs)
Winner: One Machine
Notes: Height of Impact may be the Bronze Tag Team Champions, but their tag team is in disarray. Tonight they will find out who their opponents will be at Winter Fury, and if the champs decide to not show up or DQ themselves at Winter Fury, they will lose their belts. Demolition already debuted earlier on Combat, and so it should be no problem for One Machine to earn the PPV spot.
2. Non-Title Match
Havoc v. Guerreros de la Calle (docs)
Winner: Havoc
Notes: Havoc will face their toughest challenge yet when the face Catastrophic Duo at Winter Fury for the Gold Tag Team Titles. Catastrophic Duo won this month's mini-Gold Tag Team Tournament, and they're undefeated as well. Guerreros de la Calle will try to make matters worse for Havoc tonight if the Champs aren't prepared.
LIEUTENANT

Winner: Martin Prince

He faces Martin Prince in a cage match and the winner will face The Master on Friday in the last Lieutenant Title match of the month. That is, unless one of these two Superstars defeat him. Martin is getting a second shot in The Champions Tournament, and I only did that because I know he won't get the job done.
