Friday Night Mayhem (2/6/09): Poisonous Intentions
HARDCORE
1. Future Talent Match
James La'Crow v. Sandhu (Single-docs)
Winner: Sandhu
Notes: In yet another Friday Night Mayhem special future talent match, newcomers James La'Crow and Sandhu face-off in a singles match. Scoring a win on Mayhem while being in the Hardcore Division is quite an honor, so who is going to send a message to their peers on Surge?
LIEUTENANT
1. Allanon v. Luke Kinkade (Table-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Allanon has got to start winning some matches if he's going to survive in the Lieutenant Division, and more importantly, in my X-Forces. Tonight he takes on veteran Luke Kinkade in a table match. Luke's a former champ with an attitude not to mess with.
2. Essa Rios v. trickshot (Single-docs)
Winner: trickshot
Notes: Essa Rios may have gotten a BYE in the Extreme Ladder Tournament this week, but that doesn't mean he can't get his hands dirty. They'll be just that when he takes on the slime-ball known as trickshot. Send a message to Black Olympus, Essa.
3. Three-on-One Handicap Match
Genocide v. Level One/The Ultimate Kid/Mystery Partner (docs)
Winner: Level One/The Ultimate Kid/Huck Wade
Notes: Genocide has found himself up a river without any paddles or a boat for that matter. Tonight he takes on his former buddies and now X-Force members, Level One, The Ultimate Kid and a mystery partner. Maybe Genocide should pick his friends better...or maybe he should quit wrestling altogether.
CAPTAIN
1. Pick Your Poison Tournament
Tommy Musashi v. The Ultimate Kid (Tommy's choice[LMS]-docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: The Ultimate Kid did not hesitate to choose Tommy Musashi as his round 2 opponent in the Pick Your Poison Tournament this week. Now, it will be up to Tommy to make that decision a bad one when he gets to choose the match type. I gotta say that for the first time ever, I'm rooting for the new X-Force member, UK.
2. Pick Your Poison Tournament
ForSakeN v. Unknown Soldier (ForSakeN's choice-docs)
Winner: Unknown Soldier
Notes: Much is unknown about Unknown Soldier, but what is known is that he will face ForSakeN by default this week, and therefore, I've decided to let FSN choose the match type. With Rhino getting the BYE, one of these two will join him in the next round.
COLONEL
1. Hardcore Match
RJ Wild v. Mathew Oliveira (Single-1-1-1)
Winner: Matthew Oliveira
Notes: RJ Wild needs to make a long lasting impression this month if he's going to be an X-Force member by March. That being said, he faces and must destroy Matthew Oliveira in a hardcore match tonight. Matt is no stranger to the violence a match like this can bring, so he just may be the favorite.
2. Non-Title Match
The Impacter v. Euroman (Ladder-docs)
Winner: The Impacter via no-show
Notes: The Impacter is a frustrated champion because he's not getting any serious competition so far this month. Hopefully that will change when Euroman steps in the ring with him tonight to have a Non-Title ladder match.
GENERAL
1. Gnarfflinger v. Big Closet (LMS-docs)
Winner: Big Closet
Notes: Can anyone remember the last time Big Closet won a match? I can't, and Gnarff probably can't either, and he's one of the oldest Superstars on the roster. Tonight Gnarff and Big C will have a LMS match that might result in a Big C rarity...a victory...or not.
2. Non-Title Match
Genesis 1 v. Backyard Brawler 2 (Cage-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Genesis has been distracted of late due to a Kitty Killer on the prowl in GHW. That Kitty Killer goes by the name of StrikerLT, and in my opinion, I hope Genesis finds this nuisance and destroys him. In the meantime, G1 will take on BB2 inside a steel cage where there are no kittens, but only ill intentions.
3. Slim Shady v. ValKyrie KD (Ladder-docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: Kelly Duncan will have her work cut out for herself tonight when she faces one of the most consistently strong General Superstars, Slim Shady. The match will also include ladders, so it will be strategic to use those early and often.
4. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Single-docs)
Winner: CHARISMATIC HARDY
Notes: Big Daddy must be having the month of his life watching General Superstars drop left and right to the Death Sentence Tournament. To keep him in good shape for the winner of that Tournament, I'll let him get his hands on CH in a traditional styled match where injuries are at a minimum.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
California's Finest v. The Battalion (docs)
Winner: The Battalion
Notes: California's Finest will debut tonight against The Battalion in Bronze Tag Team action. The Battalion won their debut last week, and will be aiming at ruining another team's debut. California's Finest might be great in California, but this isn't California anymore....this is worldwide...GHW.
2. Dark Bulldogs v. Bulldog Savages (docs)
Winner: Bulldog Savages
Notes: In a match that didn't seem to ever happen due to the closeness of the Superstars on both teams, Dark Bulldogs will take on Bulldog Savages tonight. Dark Bulldogs lost their first ever fought tag match last week, and now they are stuck in a tough spot against their allies, Bulldog Savages. I'm going to be at the edge of my seat watching this great match unfold.
3. Non-Title Match
Havoc v. Lost Cause (docs)
Winner: Lost Cause
Notes: Havoc are looking to keep padding their win column when they take on Lost Cause tonight. LC has been losing a step or two lately, and it may be a slump they're in. Only time will tell, but Havoc still remains the best of their Division.
