Monday Night Combat (2/9/09): eXecution on the way
LIEUTENANT
1. Debut Match
Level One v. Allanon (Single-docs)
Winner: Allanon
Notes: Level One debuts on the main roster tonight in the Lieutenant Division against Allanon. Allanon is a fellow X-Force Superstar of Level One's and he has yet to record a win in GHW. Both of these two will put on a great match and the winner will be well deserving.
2. Three-on-One Handicap Match
YOUNG GANGSTA v. Essa Rios/Destroyer/The Master (docs)
Winner: Essa Rios/Destroyer/The Master
Notes: DUMB GANGSTA found it his business to interfere in the aftermath of a 3-on-1 handicap match that I booked on Mayhem last week, so I'm going to give him a little taste of what his friend Genocide went though. Tonight, he takes on the Lieutenant Champion, Billy Styles, along with X-Force members Essa Rios and Destroyer. All of YG's friends are banned from ringside, so if they decide to show up, they will lose their jobs. Let the eXecution begin...
3. Extreme Ladder Tournament
Martin Prince v. YOUNG GANGSTA (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: After the EMT's drag YOUNG GANGSTA's body out of the ring in his handicap match, he'll have to somehow make his way back down there to face Martin Prince in a Semi-Final Extreme Ladder match. I don't care for either of these two winning this match, but it will be fun to watch Martin drop the last blow on his friend.
CAPTAIN
1. Pick Your Poison Tournament
Unknown Soldier (2 docs, 1 trainer) v. RhinoMan (2 docs, 1 trainer) [Cage]
Winner: Unknown Soldier
Notes: RhinoMan was fortunate to get a BYE last round, but his luck is over. Tonight he takes on Unknown Soldier in a match of US's choice. The Ultimate Kid will decide US's 3 staff, whereas Tommy Musashi will decide Rhino's 3 staff. Pick Your Poison is almost over, and then once it is, I will unleash hell on Rhino....or maybe I'll do it sooner.
2. Pick Your Poison Tournament
The Ultimate Kid (1-1-1) v. Tommy Musashi (1-1-1) [Ladder]
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: The Ultimate Kid gets a second chance to win Pick Your Poison after being eliminated by Tommy last week on Mayhem. That is one of the perks of being on the side of the X-Force. UK will also get to choose the match type this time around. Unknown Soldier has decided Tommy's 3 staff whereas Rhino chose UK's 3 staff. Let the games begin.
3. Non-Title Match
Samoa Machine v. ForSakeN (Single-docs)
Winner: Samoa Machine
Notes: Samoa Machine takes on Pick Your Poison's fallen Superstar, ForSakeN, tonight in Non-Title action. Samoa is keeping an eye on the Tourney as he mows down his Non-Title opponents all month. This X-Force Superstar is as dominant as they come, and I expect him to remain so.
COLONEL
1. The Unabomber v. Malcriado Beast (Single-docs)
Winner: The Unabomber
Notes: Malcriado Beast is doing well in the Extreme Ladder Tournament, and this week he gets a bye in the Semi-Finals. That means that he will be in the Finals against either Luther or HawkEye. Tonight, he will remain in action as he takes on The Unabomber in singles competition.
2. Extreme Ladder Tournament
Luther v. HawkEye (Ladder-1-1-1)
Winner: HawkEye
Notes: Luther and HawkEye hook up in a very vital Extreme Ladder Tournament match tonight. This semi-final match will send one of them packing, and neither want that. Luther is the favorite in my opinion due to his consistency and X-Force allegiance. HawkEye is just going to be another victim.
GENERAL
1. Triple Threat Match
Big Closet v. CHARISMATIC HARDY v. Dyna Mike Duncan (docs)
Winner: CHARISMATIC HARDY
Notes: The General Division kicks off with triple the fun when Dyna Mike Duncan takes on Big Closet and CHARISMATIC HARDY in a triple threat match. Big Closet finally got a win last week, and he's looking to make it two in a row. Duncan, meanwhile, was eliminated in the Death Sentence Tournament, but you can't fault him since he's new to the Division and still looking strong. In a month, DMD will be on top again, you watch.
2. Non-Title Match
Genesis 1 v. Slim Shady (Single-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Genesis will get his Kitty Killer at Dawn of Destruction, but tonight Slim Shady stands in the way and needs to be knocked down a notch. Besides, Slim was taken out of the Death Sentence Tournament by the Kitty Killer himself, StrikerLT, so Genesis will get some practice on Slim tonight.
3. Angelus v. Gnarfflinger (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Angelus
Notes: Angelus receives a BYE this week in the Death Sentence Tournament since I would hate to see him get a fluke injury in a brutal table match with none of his staff around. He automatically will be in the finals against either StrikerLT or Jake Steele. Tonight, however, he will take on Gnarff in a ladder match.
4. Death Sentence Tournament
Muhammad Hassan v. StrikerLT (Table-no staff)
Winner: Muhammad Hassan
Notes: Jake Steele managed to take out Dyna Mike Duncan last week, and because of that, I feel he will take out the Kitty Killer, StrikerLT, tonight in the Semi-Finals of the Death Sentence Tournament. Striker is gonna feel some pain, and then Genesis is gonna finish him off at Dawn of Destruction.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
So Hucking Awesome v. California's Finest (docs)
Winner: California's Finest
Notes: So Hucking Awesome make their GHW debut tonight in tag team action against California's Finest. CF made their debut last week, but were unsuccessful. Tonight they will try to ruin a new team's hopes in revenge.
2. MILF and cookies v. One Machine (docs)
Winner: One Machine by DQ
Notes: It's been quite a while, but GHW will be treated to a Silver Tag Team match tonight. After the Division Titles went vacant a few months ago, no teams have formed to fight for them. Now, we have two Silver teams thanks to the promotion of the Bronze Champs One Machine. One of these teams could be the future Silver Tag Team Champions.
3. Fatal Fourway #1 Contendership for Gold Tag Team Titles
Guerreros de la Calle v. Bulldog Savages v. Catastrophic Duo v. Dark Bulldogs (docs)
Winner: Bulldog Savages
Notes: It all comes down to one match. Four lucky General Division teams will fight it out for a chance to face Gold Tag Team Champions, Havoc, at Dawn of Destruction. Will it be the Bulldog Savages who defeated their friends, Dark Bulldogs, last week? Or will it be Guerreros de la Calle who got a no-show victory last week? Or will it be last month's undefeated tournament winners, Catastrophic Duo, who look to get a second shot at Havoc? We will find out tonight.
