Monday Night Combat (3/16/09): Oh Hell Yeah!
LIEUTENANT
1. Non-Title Match
YOUNG GANGSTA v. trickshot (Ladder-docs)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: YG doesn't deserve to be the Lieutenant X-Force Champion after all the losses he's accumulated over the past few weeks and Sunday will be the final straw. Tonight, he'll get his last chance to get a win as the Champ, but even against trickshot it's no lock.
2. #1 Contender for the Lieutenant X-Force Championship
Raistlin Majere v. The Angel of Darkness v. Level One (docs)
Winner: The Angel of Darkness
Notes: The month started off with The Angel of Darkness as the Lt. X-Force Title #1 contender. Then, a week later he lost that contendership to Level One. The week after that, Level One lost it to Raistlin Majere. Tonight, we go full circle when all three of this month's #1 contenders fight in a triple threat to decide once and for-all who is going to Total Carnage.
3. Mystery Madness Finale
Martin Prince v. Luke Kinkade (LMS-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Martin Prince defeated the thorn in his side, Prince Martini, last week to make it to the MM Finale against Luke Kinkade tonight. We're not sure what tolls Martin's body took last week, but Luke won't care. He'll be focused on demolishing Martin in this LMS to seal his spot in the Title match on Sunday.
CAPTAIN
1. RhinoMan v. Essa Rios (LMS-docs)
Winner: RhinoMan via no-show
Notes: Essa Rios surprised many people this month in his successful run in the Mystery Madness Tournament after just recently being promoted to the Division. Tito was too much for him in the Finale, but tonight he'll get his anger out on the curtain-jerker, Rhino.
2. Special Guest Referee Match (ForSakeN-chooses 2 extra staff for one Superstar)
Samoa Machine v. Eric The Torture (Single-docs)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Samoa Machine, Eric The Torture and Champion ForSakeN will square off on Sunday at Total Carnage for the Captain X-Force Championship, but to get things warmed up a bit, I've scheduled a Special Guest Referee match tonight on Combat. Champion FSN will serve as the referee while the two #1 contenders vie for an early edge for Sunday.
3. ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CAPTAIN X-FORCE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT TOTAL CARNAGE
Notes: Following the Special Guest Referee match, Xantaxm has a special announcement regarding the plans for ForSakeN, Eric The Torture, and Samoa Machine at Total Carnage.
4. Non-Title Match
Unknown Soldier v. Marcus Airbourne (Single-docs)
Winner: Unknown Soldier
Notes: Unknown Soldier will have possibly his toughest challenge on Sunday when he defends his Captain Championship against Mystery Madness winner, Tito Ortiz. Tonight could be equally as difficult when he takes on the resilient Marcus Airbourne. Marcus may be quiet lately, but he can strike a deadly blow at any time.
COLONEL
1. Qualifier for #1 Contendership for Colonel X-Force Championship
RJ Wild v. The Unabomber (Cage-docs)
Winner: The Unabomber
Notes: In the first of two qualifying matches for the #1 contendership for the Colonel X-Force Championship, RJ Wild faces The Unabomber inside a steel cage. RJ has been trying to call out the Colonel X-Force Champion, Sergei, but the Champ feels that RJ is wasting his time. This may be true, but RJ could prove him wrong if he can win two matches tonight.
2. Qualifier for #1 Contendership for Colonel X-Force Championship
Lunchtime legend v. Malcriado Beast (Cage-docs)
Winner: Lunchtime Legend
Notes: Lunchtime legend will face Malcriado Beast in a table match with the winner moving on to face the winner of RJ Wild and The Unabomber tonight. Which of these two Superstars will have enough endurance to make it through this match and the next?
3. #1 Contender for Colonel X-Force Championship
The Unabomber v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
Winner: Lunchtime Legend
Notes: The winner of this match will move on to face Sergei Kravinoff at Total Carnage for the Colonel X-Force Championship.
GENERAL
1. The Impacter v. Big Closet (LMS-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: Big Closet came up short against his latino counterpart, CH, last week in a cage. Tonight he gets to face the self-entitled, Impacter, in a LMS match.
2. Non-Title Match
StrikerLT v. Black Dead (Single-docs)
Winner: StrikerLT
Notes: Black Dead is reeling after his win over Pennylane last week, and he didn't waste time torturing Penny as his new manager by booking him in a match on Mayhem that puts Pennylane at a severe disadvantage. I hope Black Dead realizes that he's playing with fire by what he's doing to an X-Force Soldier, and he will pay eventually.
3. Pennylane v. Dyna Mike Duncan (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Pennylane
Notes: Black Dead is at it again. He has added two matches to tonights card and they both involve his client, Pennylane. Penny will begin his night against Dyna Mike Duncan in a ladder match. Following the bout, Penny will face his next opponent.
4. Pennylane v. Psycho Savage (Cage-docs)
Winner: Pennylane
Notes: After a winner is declared in the previous match, a steel cage will descend from the rafters to enclose Pennylane and Psycho Savage. What kind of shape will Penny be in against Mr. Money in the Bank?
5. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. Angelus (Cage-docs)
Winner: Angelus
Notes: Big Daddy had an off-week last week when he lost to Jake Steele in Non-Title action. Tonight he looks to right that wrong and get a huge win over Angelus. Problem is, Angelus is no push-over. This one could steal the show.
6. Mystery Madness Finale
ValKyrie KD v. Slim Shady (Table-docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: Kelly Duncan clashes with Slim Shady in the Finale of Mystery Madness in the General Division. These two will square off in a tables match with the winner moving on to face Big Daddy at Total Carnage for the General Championship.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Hard Knocks v. Brutal Thugs (docs)
Winner: Brutal Thugs
Notes: Hard Knocks wanted an instant Title shot from me once they formed this past week but I instead am giving them Brutal Thugs tonight. If they can defeat Brutal Thugs, then maybe they're on their way to gold.
2. The Royal Airmen v. UK and the Asian (docs)
Winner: The Royal Airmen
Notes: UK and the Asian have done everything I wanted them to do this month and that's lose, lose, lose. I expect the same tonight when they take on The Royal Airmen.
3. Catastrophic Duo v. ReVamped (docs)
Winner: Catastrophic Duo
Notes: Catastrophic Duo seems to have lost its edge lately, and they are slowly burying themselves in the Gold Tag Team Division. Tonight they face ReVamped to avoid sinking even farther.
