Friday Night Mayhem (6/19/09): No Time For Bail
HARDCORE
1. Future Talent Match
Hyper Elf v. Level One (Single-docs)
Winner: Level One
Notes: Hyper Elf has returned to GHW, but he has yet to score a victory in his 2nd coming. Tonight, he makes an appearance on Mayhem in an effort to change his losing streak. He will face Level One, who is also trying to revitalize his career.
LIEUTENANT
1. trickshot v. Spike Flynn (Cage-docs)
Winner via no-show: Spike Flynn
Notes: trickshot is going on vacation, and this is going to be his last match for a couple months while he recuperates his body from all the wear and tear he's endured. His goodbye match won't be easy though as he'll take on Spike Flynn inside a cage. Spike is coming off a tough Master of the Mat Finale loss from Combat, and he's not going to be a happy camper tonight.
2. YOUNG GANGSTA v. Christian Cage (Table-docs)
Winner via no-show: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: YG and Christian Cage, two of the brightest Lieutenant Division Superstars who flew under the radar this month, will collide tonight in a tables match. Both are former champions trying to rise up once again, so this will be a great match with two large egos.
3. Non-Title Match
Rock II v. Ultimate Gene (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Rock II
Notes: Rock II isn't gonna get much rest before Tried and Convicted because he's going to have to face Ultimate Gene in a non-title ladder match tonight, and then get ready for his first Lieutenant Championship defense against Master of the Mat, Cobrita, on Sunday. Who ever said the life of a Champion was easy?
CAPTAIN
1. Martin Prince v. RhinoMan (LMS-docs)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: Martin Prince has to start from the bottom of the barrel again in a new Division, and to tell you the truth, I absolutely love it. I love it so much that I'm going to make him fight another loser, RhinoMan, in a LMS match tonight. Two friends cracking their skulls in makes for great entertainment.
2. Luke Kinkade v. Marcus Airbourne (Single-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Marcus defeated the almighty Dyna Mike Duncan last week, and with a win like that under his wings, he shouldn't have a problem with Luke Kinkade, right? Wrong. Luke has been outstanding in the Master of the Mat Tournament this month, and he will fight ForSakeN in the Finale at Tried and Convicted for the vacant Captain Championship. It's going to be tough to figure out which of these two is actually going to be stopped tonight.
COLONEL
1. Luther v. Dark Lord (LMS-docs)
No Contest
Notes: Luther's days in the Colonel Division are finally over...after tonight. The Bulldog will finish up a very long stay in the Colonel Division when he faces Dark Lord in a LMS match. July will not only bring a new month for Luther, but it will also bring a new journey in the General Division.
2. Truco v. Euroman (Single-docs)
Winner: Euroman via no-show
Notes: Truco returns from a sizable absence to take on Euroman in a singles match tonight. It's going to be crazy seeing what Truco has in store for the former Colonel Champ, and I can only imagine the excitement the fans will be feeling.
3. Non-Title Match
Malcriado Beast v. Unknown Soldier (Cage-docs)
Winner: Unknown Soldier
Notes: MB will probably not have his mind into his match with Unknown Soldier tonight, but if their last match was any indication that MB should be paying attention, then someone better tell him to focus. Master of the Mat, Tito Ortiz, will be MB's target on Sunday, and MB needs to take each match one at a time.
GENERAL
1. The Triple Threat Fall-out Match
Sergei Kravinoff v. Big Closet (Table-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff
Notes: Both Sergei Kravinoff and Big Closet failed in their Triple Threat #1 Contender match on Combat this week, but one of them will get an ounce of retribution tonight when one of them slams the other through a table.
2. Slim Shady v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Ladder-docs)
No Contest
Notes: Slim Shady will square off with CH in a ladder match tonight when these two veterans position themselves for what may come for them in July.
3. Non-Title Match
ValKyrie KD v. The Masterpiece 3 (Single-docs)
Winner: The Masterpiece 3
Notes: In yet another shocking return, Brian Commonwealth will strap on his wrestling boots to face off against General Champion, Kelly Duncan. You'd have to have ice running through your veins if you're not stoked to see Brian show off his technical skills once again, and Kelly can't be too happy considering she has a Title defense in 2 days.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Iron Titans v. Demolition (docs)
Winner: Iron Titans
Notes: Iron Titans will be making their GHW debut tonight in the Bronze Tag Division when they take on the struggling, Demolition. Will Iron Titans take advantage of the Demolition's recent losing streak, or will Demolition take the opportunity to bash a brand new duo?
2. Brutal Thugs v. The Boondox Boys (docs)
Winner: The Boondox Boys
Notes: The Boondox Boys made a valiant effort to become the #1 contenders this month in the Bronze Division Master of the Mat Tournament, but fell short in the finale against Armageddon. Don't count this team out just yet, however, because they have the potential to be right up there again next month. Tonight they take on Brutal Thugs in a effort to get back to winning.
3. The Batallion v. Hells Advocates (docs)
Winner: Hells Advocates
Notes: The Battalion have a Silver Tag Team Title shot in 2 days at Tried and Convicted, but they'll stay busy tonight when they take on Hells Advocates. It may look like a one-sided match on paper, but in tag action, everything is unpredictable.
