The Hardcore Tournament to determine a shot at Striker LT continues. Here are the scores so far:
Shogun Rua: 4
Tendai: 2
Trenton McIntyre: 2
Angelus: 0
Caramon Majere: -1
Schoneboom MMA: -4
Shogun Rua has a lead, but Tendai and newcomer Trenton McIntyre are not far behind and could easily catch up. I'm not going to completely write off Caramon Majere and Schoneboom MMA, either, though they will have a lot of work to do if they intend to catch up. Showing up is half the battle, though, people.
This week's Twist of Fate is the mismatch competition. All matches will be Ladder matches, but with a twist. The challenger gets to pick if he wants 2 doctors or 2 trainers. If the challenger picks 2 doctors, the defender MUST use 2 trainers (and no other staff).
Opening Match
Angelus v. Level One - Hardcore Singles (1-1-1)
Level One filed a complaint about why he missed the first round of the Twist of Fate Tournament. While his excuse is flimsy at best, I like to think myself a fair man. So, he will be admitted back into the tournament this week - but before he faces Tendai in their mismatch ladder match, he must first face Angelus in a hardcore singles match.
Winner: Level One (No-Show)
Twist of Fate Tournament
ToF #1: Level One v. Tendai - Ladder
Winner: Tendai
ToF #2: Shogun Rua v. Trenton McIntyre - Ladder
Winner: Shogun Rua
ToF #3: Schoneboom MMA v. Caramon Majere - Ladder
We didn't get to see these two fight last week. If neither of them show this week, they can kiss their contendership goodbye.
No Contest
Main Event
Travis Truth v. Striker LT - Flaming Tables (Table, 1-1-2 staff)
Special Guest Referee: Bruiser Brody
Last week on Combat, StrikerLT single-handedly advanced himself and tag team-mate Travis Truth in the Friend or Foe tournament. Travis's incessant whining surfaced again after the match and it will be a pleasure to see Striker LT shut him up, even if it is only for the duration of this match. Bruiser Brody will be in the ring to ensure that the match goes down like it should and that there won't be any outside interference from the BulldogsNo Contest
